Why did I become a professional makeup artist?
I often get asked what is it that made me want to get into the beauty industry and become a makeup artist in Fife. Well, it’s a few things really. So I thought I would share some of them here with you.
A massive reason I became a makeup artist in Fife was thanks to my wedding morning. In 2013 I got married and to this day is still one of my favourite memories. The ‘I dos’, the sunshine, the dancing… the list goes on. For me another highlight was the getting ready process as it was just so fun and relaxed. I had 4 bridesmaids who all wanted something different for hair and makeup but I trusted wholeheartedly in the makeup artist Karen and hairstylist Roya. This allowed me to relax knowing we were in safe hands. Because I have had that experience I know how much faith a bride is putting in me, to turn up on time, provide everything I said I was going to and ensure she has a seamless and enjoyable morning.
The Power of Makeup
When wearing the right makeup for you, you get this confidence and you are ready to take on the world. I believe makeup can be really powerful if you enhance and highlight your best features. On your wedding day you want to look like the best version of you. Makeup, if applied correctly, has the ability to do this. When you look in the mirror you are excited for your partner to see you, that’s the power of makeup!
I love weddings
I truly love weddings and genuinely believe its an honour to be part of someones special day. There is a buzz an excitement on a wedding morning that you can’t get elsewhere or from another job. I love seeing the look on the brides face when she sees herself in her dress and feels beautiful, ready to marry her best friend. Knowing I have contributed to that is the best!
Hope this gives you a little insight about what inspires me to be the best makeup artist in fife that I can be!
