Wedding Makeup Spotlight Series
Joanne and Michael got married in a church close to both their hearts in Swindon, then had their reception in The Blunsdon Hotel. Joanne isn’t a makeup kinda girl, so I was excited that she trusted me to create a look that would compliment her and be perfect for her wedding day. It was a fun girly morning surrounded by family. What could be better?
Joannes Wedding Makeup
As Joanne doesn’t wear foundation I wanted to choose something light for her skin, to achieve an even base without being too heavy. MAC Face and Body was absolutely perfect for her! I then used matte brown shadows to open up her eyes and complete the look with Eyelure Cheryl lashes. These lashes were ideal because they are light and great if its the first time wearing them. To complete her wedding makeup we gave her a glossy lip and glowing highlights.
The Bridal Party Makeup
It was another treat to do the makeup for my mother-in-law, who like Joanne isn’t a big makeup wearer. She was wearing a gorgeous baby blue dress and hat so we chose pretty pinks for the blush to compliment her colouring. She also wore individual lashes, which gave a little drama to her look. Myself and Jes, the other bridesmaid, went for natural glam, with colours to compliment our bold dresses.
The Wedding Day
We all got ready at the hotel, with just enough time for everyone to have a good breakfast and get glam for walking down the aisle. It was a long day Joanne was still glowing and her makeup looked great even after ceilidh dancing, even if I do say so myself 😉 It was a great day, enjoyed by all!
Here are a few pictures that I took on the morning, from some of her guests and professional photographer.
