Wedding Makeup Artist Fife, my Brides.

Wedding Makeup Artist Fife, my Brides.

This week in the life of a wedding makeup artist Fife, I’m looking back at my August brides that took me all over Edinburgh and Fife. I love nothing more than getting to see the pictures of the brides I’ve spent the morning with, looking radiant as they enjoy their big day. August was a busy month with so many brides, so as the wedding season dies down (well, kind of!) I thought I would show off a couple of the lovely brides! Lots of brides ask me for inspiration so here is a feature a couple of my brides, Rhona and Christina and a breakdown of their perfect bridal looks.

When I ask brides ‘What would you like for your wedding makeup’ I so often get told ‘natural’, which I love! You should feel like the most beautiful you on your big day. Both Rhona and Christina went for glowing, natural, polished looks for their bridal makeup and both looked stunning!

Rhona has lovely blue eyes so to compliment them we choose golden and brown colours and created a subtle smoky eye. We finished off the look with individual eyelashes, a nude lip and highlighter in all the right places. Rhona choose for her bridesmaids to have a very similar natural feel which fitted with their hair perfectly. Rhonas mum was a bit nervous before her trial as she doesn’t normally wear makeup but wanted to feel great for the day, so we costumed the perfect look for her. We started by using Nars tinted moisturiser and finished with Laura Mercier translucent powder, which made her look flawless and no nasty reactions to heavy makeup! All topped off with golden eye makeup. Rhona and Nicks big day captured beautifully by Tracy Gow Photography.

Christina also wanted to have glowing, perfect skin which I created with Illamasqua Skin base foundation and Sara Hills Illuminator – current favourite! To go with her flawless skin she wanted her eyes to be dramatic and smoky, so we opted for a natural contour of the eyelids and thick dark liner to define the eye shape. All finished off with individual lashes. Her bridesmaids also went for slightly smoky looks which looked fab with the eyelure lashes! Photos taken by Zul Bhatia and Diana Finn.
